LMI delivers revolutionary dual-layer, shaker top lid for Papa John’s Pizza.
Established in 1985, Papa John’s Pizza is now a national chain, with franchises in as many as 49 states and 29 international markets. Their mission has always been to provide high-quality traditional pizza and superior customer service. So, LMI helped the company develop a better way for customers to apply condiments such as spices and grated cheese. The lid features a lift-off label with a second, die-cut label that can be sealed directly to the product container. This unique design offers customers convenience and the value-added ability to control distribution of product, while maintaining the manufacturer’s need for packaging that provides portion control, portability and tamper evidence.
For more than just Papa John’s, LMI’s new shaker top format provides marketing opportunities for both manufacturers and retailers.
“This packaging will enable a company to sell products that normally could
not be sold in a single-serve fashion or a sample-size package. You can
have a single, chargeable unit that is portable and convenient for the
customer, yet profitable for the manufacturer or retailer. And the dual-label design can offer manufacturers an additional canvas for graphic
elements or coupons” says LMI’s CEO, Jean Moran.
LMI is also marketing the lid to manufacturers and contract packagers in the prepared and prepackaged food, spice and confectionery industries.
