C.F. Sauer gives better sustainability their seal of approval.
Founded in 1887, the C.F. Sauer Company is a major name in packaged foods, with a retail line including everything from spices and seasonings to mayonnaise and vegetable oil.
They came to us with a critical issue regarding a sealant layer that would not activate even when the heater heads were set at maximum levels. LMI took on the challenge and exceeded expectations by successfully researching, sourcing and implementing a new thermally conductive heat sealant pad offering more efficient heat transfer. The pads were less expensive, lasted longer and could be cleaned and reused, making them more cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
In the end, the company was able to lower their operating costs significantly and was extremely pleased with the process overall. In fact, they brought LMI on for additional projects in other plants.
